Mecklenburg County Solid Waste and Recycling hosts commercial hazardous waste collection events for small businesses that qualify as VSQGs, or Very Small Quantity Generators. VSQGs are defined as businesses that generate less than 220 pounds of hazardous waste and less than 2.2 pounds of acute hazardous waste. Collection events are held periodically throughout the year. Please contact us to find out collection dates and times, unless otherwise noted.

Please note: The full service drop off recycling centers are permitted by the State to only accept hazardous materials from residential households. The centers cannot accept hazardous waste generated by any business, school, company or church.
