Mecklenburg County Solid Waste and Recycling has an agreement with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools to provide all recycling and trash services. Schools pay for services and the County or its contracted vendors provide all services. Private schools are responsible for providing their own recycling services, but are able to contract with Solid Waste for these services.
